The Wait

We do not like to wait in line for our coffee

We do not like to wait for the sites or videos to load

We do not like to wait for our packages to arrive

We do not like waiting for our turn to check in or check out.

I have never seen anyone who loves waiting-

Maybe some folks do not mind the extra time

At hand to read a book or watch a movie

Before they get to do what they came for.

The past week taught me once again

That waiting is not bad at all;

Yet the chance to reflect upon God's time-

The most wonderful and apt clock of all.

It is just proof that God is working

Even in the time of waiting,

Proof that waiting teaches us patience-

Patience to accept what is on the other side.

The in-between is not at all the easy episode,

But part of the process that moulds us.

The unknown future, the uncertain tomorrow

Unfolds the beauty of those moments for sure.

Wait in the moments of joys and trials,

Wait for His answers and solutions,

Wait for His time and blessings, while

Waiting upon the Lord with hope.

Waiting in a queue need not be stressful anymore,

Waiting for something to load, buffer, or get delivered

Can turn into a time of contemplation about

What can be done better on the flip side of the wait.
