THE FLUTTERINGS OF LIFE
I wrote this poem about a very special time in my life on 7th October, 2015. A gift was due to us on 13th November, but we received it in God's time on the 17th of November, 2015- a perfect little parcel from above- our miracle girl.
Dedicated to all Moms!
THE FLUTTERINGS OF LIFE
Everyday I wake up to feel
Something moving, something
kicking
I know not yet what it is
I know not yet what it will
be.
This feeling is not
continuous
But it comes back again
This feeling is not painful
But so overwhelming and
divine.
Life, in its initial stage
comes silently
Reveals itself in amazing
ways.
Life, a new life, comes
unknowingly
Emerges to this world when
its time has come.
It is a great responsibility
to be part of this phenomenon
A long tiring process that
ultimately fulfils God's great plan.
My days are now spent in
preparation
To welcome this moving body
My nights supply more energy
To be healthy for the new
role.
I will see very soon,
I will hold very soon
When it is ready and
complete.
An answer to prayers,
A dream come true.
Now it is just flutterings to
me
But will soon become my first
REAL gift
Full of life, new life.
*And we named her DAPHNE- for she is the 'Victory' the Almighty gave us when all doctors proclaimed it impossible by this world's diagnostics. God is able to make the impossible POSSIBLE!! So keep believing!
This is certainly the most powerful a woman could feel- to be part in the creation process along with the Creator. If you are a mother, be thankful for the blessings you have or even had; if you are still wishing to be a mom, may the Lord see your tears and answer your prayers; if you are yet to think of it, let the Almighty show you the way; if you hate to think of it, think of a better way to spend your life- but I guarantee, you won't!
It's a pity we live in a world which is gradually turning against the holy institution of marriage and family. We have to change that- soon enough- for mankind to keep going; for life to go on; for us to look to the future with HOPE.
Beautifully said kochamma! So often we take so many of those feelings for granted yet when it is mentioned so specifically the truth of it dawns on you!
